A recuperação de uma antiga moradia de dois pisos deu origem à Casinha, um projecto de reabilitação que procura preservar a memória e a identidade da construção existente, adaptando-a às exigências de uma habitação contemporânea.
A intervenção recuperou integralmente a moradia, mantendo a sua escala e o carácter original do edifício. No interior, uma antiga parede de xisto foi cuidadosamente preservada, assumindo-se como elemento central do projecto e como testemunho da construção tradicional e da história do lugar.
A relação entre a pedra existente e os novos elementos introduzidos cria um equilíbrio entre memória e contemporaneidade, valorizando a matéria original sem deixar de responder às necessidades de conforto e funcionalidade de uma casa actual.
Localizada em Cebolais de Cima, Castelo Branco, a Casinha é uma intervenção de arquitectura que procura devolver vida a uma construção antiga, respeitando a sua identidade e reforçando a ligação entre arquitectura, matéria e lugar.
The complete restoration of an old two-story house gave new life to Casinha, a small home rooted in the memory and character of its place.
The existing structure was carefully rehabilitated, preserving its scale, simplicity, and sense of identity while adapting the house to contemporary living. At the heart of the project, an original schist stone wall was intentionally preserved, becoming a quiet reminder of the home’s history and the craftsmanship of the traditional construction.
New and old come together in a gentle balance between memory and contemporary life. The warmth and texture of the stone bring a sense of permanence and intimacy to the interior, allowing the original character of the house to remain present throughout the renovation.
