WHO IS
I grew up in New York City during the vibrant 1980s—one of the most iconic periods in contemporary art. Artists like Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Andy Warhol created groundbreaking work that continues to resonate today.
I lived in the Village, surrounded by an artistic atmosphere that extended from school into extracurricular activities. In the early 1990s, my family relocated to Portugal, where I continued to pursue my creative path. I enrolled at Escola Secundária Artística António Arroio in Lisbon—an important milestone that marked the beginning of my journey toward architecture.
From early on, aesthetics served as a natural bridge between visual arts and architecture. I believe that both disciplines find their essence in the details. It is through the thoughtful composition of small elements that a coherent and meaningful whole emerges. Beauty, to me, is the result of balanced form.
After completing my university studies, I had the opportunity to work in both public and private architecture firms. Collaborating with experienced professionals helped refine my focus on what matters most: the client. Every project begins with a clear brief, aligned with the client’s budget and timeline—always coordinated with the studio’s internal schedule. Keeping the client informed and engaged throughout the process is a priority I hold firmly.
Each project begins with a meeting to align vision with reality. Some projects require navigating municipal regulations, while others allow for a more organic, flexible approach. In either case, the role of the architect is much like that of a craftsman—helping the client find the best path to bring an idea to life, with skill, sensitivity, and care.
All projects are carried out with professionalism, transparency, and integrity. The goal is to build a true partnership between architect and client, working together to transform dreams into meaningful, enduring spaces.
